Professional Background:
Adéla Michková is a graduate of the Master's degree in Rehabilitation-Psychosocial Care of Disabled Children, Adults and the Elderly at the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice (2002), where she subsequently obtained her PhD. in the study programme Specialization in Health Care, in the field of Prevention, Correction and Therapy of Health and Social Problems of Children, Adults and the Elderly and defended her dissertation on "Supervision in Social Work in the Czech Republic."
Adéla Michková worked after graduation as a field social worker and as a manager of several social services (low-threshold facilities for children and youth, social activation services for families with children and foster care services). Since 2006 she has been providing external supervision mainly in social services. She has been cooperating with the Faculty of Health Studies at the University of Pardubice since 2012 and has been working there as a staff member since 2015.
At the Faculty of Health Studies, she is a supervisor of the study programme Health and Social Care.
In her work with students, she focuses mainly on students' professional practice, supervision and teaching theories and methods of social work.
