Research Background:
Adéla Michková's scientific and creative endeavors are firmly rooted in the field of health and social work, with a particular emphasis on the issue of supervision within healthcare and social sectors, which she explored during her doctoral studies in Prevention, Remediation, and Therapy of Health and Social Problems of Children, Adults, and Seniors (Ph.D., 2009).
Since 2004, she has been engaged in teaching health and social work, as well as supervision, predominantly within bachelor’s degree programs. Since 2012, she has been associated with the Department of Midwifery, Perioperative Care, and Health and Social Care at the Faculty of Health Studies, University of Pardubice. In addition, she serves as an external supervisor for both the social and healthcare sectors, drawing upon her extensive experience as a field social worker and as a head of social services for children and families.
Her research primarily concentrates on supervision and fundamental social counseling, with a focus on the process of delivering basic social counseling and the application of advanced technologies in this domain.
Currently, Adéla Michková holds the position of chair of the Association of Educators in Social Work. In this role, she is a member of the editorial board of the journal Sociální práce/Sociálna práca/Czech and Slovak Social Work.
