Professional Background:
Kristýna Šoukalová graduated from the Bachelor of General Nursing at the Institute of Health Studies of the Technical University of Liberec (2009), the Master of Nursing in selected clinical fields at the University of Pardubice (2011) and the Doctor in Nursing at the University of Pardubice (2021). Her doctoral thesis focused on diabetes mellitus, knowledge assessment, and development of new measurement tools and validation of psychometric knowledge.
Since 2011, Kristýna Šoukalová has been working at the Faculty of Health Studies, University of Pardubice as an assistant professor. She teaches students at both undergraduate and graduate level. From 2009 to 2011, she worked as a general nurse in the Department of Geriatrics.
Her current research interests include the development of new measurement tools in nursing, their translation and validation of the psychometric properties, education and health literacy.
