Professional Background
Pavlína Brothánková was formally trained in Nursing, completing her nursing study in Bachelor’s degree in General Nursing at Faculty of Health Studies, University of Pardubice, Czech Republic (2007), Master’s degree in General Nursing, Faculty of Health Studies, University of Pardubice, Czech Republic (2009) and PhD study at the University of Pardubice, Czech Republic (2014). Her PhD research was focused on olfactory testing using Test of Odour Pleasantness with focus on patients with head and neck disorders.
In 2017 the National Centre of Nursing and Other Health Professions, Brno, Czech Republic certified her in nurse for surgery care. In 2018 the Czech Sleep Research and Sleep Medicine Society certified her in sleep technician.
Since 2009 she works as nurse at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery Pardubice Hospital, Hospitals of the Pardubice Region, Czech Republic. Since 2011 she works as an assistant at the Department of Nursing, Faculty of Health Studies, University of Pardubice, Czech Republic. Her research is focus on smell and taste disorder especially.
