Professional background:
Jana HOLA was formally trained in management and economics. Her PhD research focused on internal communication management and the implementation of a model of internal communication. In 2017, she became Associate Professor in Management.
Her current research efforts focus on managerial competencies in nursing in the context of quality care management, dealing with the implementation of key competency management in collaboration with several hospitals. It uses predominantly quantitative methods and evidence-based implementation.
She is the guarantor of the master's study program Organization and Management in Healthcare, teaches management and leadership, and as part of lifelong education in conjunction with clinical practice provides managerial communication courses for nurse managers and other managers in the healthcare sector. She publishes best practices based on evidence-based practice from this area.
She is co-author of the methodology for estimating the required number of students and graduates of study programs focused on the education of general nurses requested by the Ministry of Health for its own purposes and of the software application for competence management implemented in the Hospital of the Pardubice Region. Furthermore, she is the investigator and co-investigator of external and internal projects, the author of professional publications (see overview of projects and publications in her research profile).
