On April 24, 2024, the eighth annual international conference, organized by the Faculty of Health Studies of the University of Pardubice in cooperation with the Faculty of Health Sciences of the Catholic University in Ružomberok, took place in the heart of Pardubice.
This traditional conference, with this year's subtitle 4 Pillars of Care, was a unique platform for experts, students, and those interested in providing quality health care in four basic domains — physical, mental, social, and spiritual.
The conference boasted several notable names of international renown, including Kristina Mikkonen from the University of Oulu, Finland, Mark Tomietta from Northumbria University, UK, and Sarah B. Vittone from Georgetown University, USA. These experts presented their findings and research that push the boundaries in education and practice in health care.
The conference program offered a wide range of topics, from current trends in Czech and Slovak, as well as global nursing, through the integration of evidence into practice, to global challenges such as new trends in nuclear medicine. The program also included the XVI National Student Scientific Conference, which opens the door for the presentation of innovative projects and research by students.
