Description:
Introduction: In order to provide quality nursing care to patients with pain, it is important that nurses and nursing students have a good understanding of pain management. For this reason, they receive education in which they learn the principles of caring for these patients. At the same time, the question is whether this education is effective. A number of studies have been conducted abroad on this topic and for this purpose, the 'Knowledge and Attitudes Survey Regarding Pain' questionnaire has been developed and used to measure the knowledge and attitudes of nurses and nursing students on the topic of pain. This instrument was developed in 1987 and has been widely used from the time of its inception to the present. It consists of a total of 39 questions. Aim: To complete the translation of the Knowledge and Attitudes Survey Regarding Pain instrument into English using the ISPOR (International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes) guideline, and to conduct a pilot study using this instrument.
