The aim of the project is to improve the conditions of children hospitalized in the IMP at Pardubice Hospital and their parents. This is done under the leadership of Prof. Liisa Lehtonen and her team from Turku University Hospital in Finland. Through gradual mentoring, the whole team, including the doctors, will be trained. The purpose is to improve the care of premature hospitalised babies and to reduce the negative impact of hospitalisation on parents. The project will mainly focus on the psychological aspects of mothers of hospitalized children before the intervention (training of staff to change the system of care provided while modifying the ward space to allow for 24/7 rooming-in) and after the intervention.
