Description:
Mobbing has come to the forefront as a phenomenon that negatively affects the health and life of individuals. It also affects the organization in the same negative way. In the field of healthcare, nurses are the most at risk of those endangered by mobbing. Mobbed people often suffer from stress headaches, palpitations, high blood pressure, difficulty breathing, insomnia, anxiety and depression. It influences the occurrence of higher absence of workers, development of a burnout syndrome and higher error rate. The occurrence of mobbing in the workplace seriously disrupts employment relationships and it affects all the workers. The incidence of mobbing is also negatively reflected in organizations that often experience higher morbidity and staff turnover. The most effective measure in the fight against mobbing is prevention. To date, no study has been published in the Czech Republic describing the preventive measures implemented in Czech hospitals.
