The Doctoral Study Programme (DSP) in Health Sciences, offered only in Czech, provides specialized knowledge and expertise in science and research relevant to healthcare disciplines and selected fields of chemistry, while strengthening graduates’ abilities to effectively contribute to the development of health sciences. Students will choose one of two offered modules: Module 1 – Health and Illness Care and Module 2 – Biomedical Sciences. The Faculty of Health Studies of the University of Pardubice (FZS UPCE) cooperates with the Faculty of Chemical Technology of the University of Pardubice (FChT UPCE) in delivering this study programme.
Throughout their studies, DSP (PhD) students are prepared to actively contribute to the advancement of scientific knowledge relevant to the roles of university-educated healthcare professionals at the PhD level. Upon completion of their studies, they will be able to pursue careers in which they will plan, manage, coordinate, and carry out the development of scientific knowledge, and effectively communicate its results both within the Czech Republic and internationally. Graduates will find employment in academic and other institutions engaged in science, research, development, and innovation, as well as in public and private healthcare facilities, supporting the provision of healthcare in all its forms in accordance with the principles of Evidence-Based Health Care (EBHC) and Evidence-Based Practice (EBP).
