The project deals with assessment of health conditions of patients in the field of otorhinolaryngology and intensive care using standardized questionnaires, examination, and procedures. The first part of the project focuses on the quality of life in patients with cancer of the larynx, including the evaluation of changes in swallowing and voice. The second part evaluates the quality of life and voice problems of patients with diseases of the larynx dispensarised at the outpatient speech therapy department. The third part deals with the evaluation of hearing screening in newborn infants in selected healthcare facilities. The fourth part is focused on the communication problems of patients with hearing loss. The fifth part of the project is focused on the evaluation of microbial colonization of tracheostomy tubes of patients with artificial ventilation.
