Description:
The project builds on research tasks that have been addressed since 2013. It focuses on quality and safety of health care and the quality of life of patients with selected illnesses. The project is based on the aims of the WHO Patient Safety Program, the Departmental Safety Objectives the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic, the Accreditation standards of the the United Accreditation Commission of the Czech Republic (SAK), and the National strategy for Health Protection and Promotion and Disease Prevention Health 2020. Specifically, the project focuses on selected issues concerning nursing and related health care fields, while emphasizing the provision of support to PhD students. The support will take place in three main ways: a) Providing feedback to students as they conduct their research, by academic staff involved in the project (consultations concerning the dissertation thesis, planned outputs, etc.); b) Providing international feedback to students (mainly through participating at international conferences); c) Participation in a specialized workshop focusing on data analysis (organized by the FHS, e.g. workshop on meta-analysis). Research areas: The content of the research topics focuses mainly on the following themes: 1. Pain management; 2. Satisfaction analysis; 3. Evaluation of the quality of life; 4. Quality of culturally competent care
