Description:
The nursing profession places high demands on the physical and mental resilience of nurses. Nurses are routinely exposed to excessive workload and stress which negatively affects their health. One important element in combating stress and excessive workload is a sufficient level of personal resilience/hardiness. The aim of this project is to find out how nurses perceive their health. In addition, to find out what level of hardiness nurses have and whether there is a statistically significant association between reported levels of hardiness and nurses' perceived health. A descriptive, cross-sectional study will be conducted. Respondents will be general and practical nurses in a planned number of 1500 from selected health care facilities from all regions of the country. This is an issue that has not been significantly explored in the context of Czech nursing.
