eng Sniffin´ Sticks and Perfumed Markers Test in Czech Population Sniffin´ sticks test is used to assess olfaction especially in German speaking countries. We made 227 examinations using Sniffin´ sticks test (part T-threshold and I-identification) in Czech population. 71 people of this group were examined using Perfumed markers test (PMT). 68 subjects reported normosmy and did not suffer any disease, which could influence the sense of smell. 74 suffered sinonasal diseases, 17 noted their olfaction worsened post viral infection, 18 had a head trauma in their history. The rest of examined people (50) worked in chemical factories, were smokers, suffered diseases which could influence olfaction or had idiopathic smell disorder. The medians in normosmics were 8,5 in part T and 12 in part I. The medians of patients suffering sinonasal diseases were 5,5(T) and 9(I), post viral infection 1,5(T) and 6(I), post head trauma 0(T) and 6,5(I) and of the rest of examined people 6,5(T) and 11(I). Correlation coefficient of both parts of Sniffin´ sticks and PMT was 0,82. Based on our results we conclude, that median of part T of normosmics in our study is in coherence with other studies, while median of part I differs a little. PMT can be used for basic evaluation of smell ability. Sniffin´ Sticks Test;Perfumed Markers Test;Czech Population
