eng	Vildagliptin and its Potential in Type 2 Diabetes Treatment	The case study describes the use of vildagliptin in the treatment of type 2 diabetic patient. Vildagliptin had been introduced as the third antidiabetic agent in this patient, on top of established metformin and sulfonylurea treatment. After a few episodes of mild hypoglycemia, the treatment with sulfonylurea was discontinued. The patient has been treated with metformin and vildagliptin only, has reported no more hypoglycemia, and his glycemic control is excellent.	vildagliptin; T2DM; case study
