Tato studie prokázala superioritu léčby liraglutidem proti placebu ve smyslu snížení hodnot glykovaného hemoglobinu u osob s diabetem 2. typu a se středně závažnou poruchou funkce ledvin (CKD 3). Během 26 týdnů léčby nedošlo ke zhoršení funkce ledvin a incidence hypoglykémií byla nízká i při současné léčbě inzulínem. eng	Diabetes and thyroid gland disorders – autoimmunity as a common cause	In 2014, the results of a new phase III study LIRA-RENAL were presented. This study proved superiority of liraglutide compared to placebo in HbA1c lowering in patients with type 2 DM and renal imprairment (CKD 3). During 26 weeks there was no evidence of worsening of renal function, and the incidence of hypoglycemia was low even with concomitant insulin therapy.
