Pacienti, kteří mají zavedený drén z důvodu terapeutického bez operačního výkonu anebo po operačním výkonu jsou hospitalizováni zejména na odděleních hrudní chirurgie. Podle dostupných dat statistického úřadu v ČR bylo s hrudní drenáží v roce 2018 hospitalizováno 691 pacientů, ve věku 65 let a více to bylo 336 pacientů. Průměrný počet dnů hospitalizace byl 6,2 dnů (ÚZIS.cz). Velkou skupinu pacientů tvoří pacienti s nádorovým onemocněním. Práce byla zaměřena na zjištění a popis specifických oblastí ošetřovatelské péče u pacientů se zavedeným hrudním drénem. Sběr dat byl proveden pomocí anamnestického rozhovoru podle M. Gordonové a z dokumentace následně byla data zpracována do deseti kazuistik. Součástí práce je zpracování doporučení pro sestry a vytvoření seznamu ošetřovatelských diagnóz související s tímto ošetřovatelským problémem, což je péče o hrudní drén. eng	Care of patients with chest drainage	Annotation Nursing care for patients with chest drainage is specific, the emphasis is on ensuring the patient's physical and psychological comfort. Patients who have had a drain inserted for therapeutic reasons without surgery or after surgery are mainly hospitalized in thoracic surgery departments. According to the available data from the Statistical Office in the Czech Republic, 691 patients were hospitalized with a disease requiring thoracic drainage in 2018, and 336 patients were aged 65 years and older. The average number of days of hospitalization was 6,2 days (ÚZIS.cz). A large group of patients are cancer patients. This work was aimed at identifying and describing specific areas of nursing care in patients with an inserted chest drain. Data collection was performed by anamnestic interview according to M. Gordon and from the documentation, then the data were processed into ten case reports. The work included the development of recommendations for nurses and the creation of a list of nursing diagnoses related to this nursing problem, which is the care chest drain.
