eng	Possibilities and barriers of digital applications in nursing pain management from East European perspective	Introduction: digital transformation in health care in Czechia has been slowly implemented and the COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated the new trends. The Strategic Framework for the Development of Health Care in the Czech Republic by 2030 emphasizes the importance of the protection and promotion of public health, while also intensifying the role of digitalization of healthcare. In 2021, the Act on the Electronization of Healthcare was adopted. However, a number of important barriers exist, ranging from technological and patient factors to unresolved financial, legal, and ethical issues and Czechia still belongs to countries with a low level of digitalization of healthcare processes. Despite the challenges, examples of digital transformation that could have a positive effect on patients with pain can be given. Recently, it has been recognized that digital education of Czech medical and allied health professionals needs to take place to keep pace with technological advances and also the expectations of some health care consumers. It has been observed that the attitude of some patients towards digitalization is favourable. Digital competence: formulating a comprehensive and up-to-date definition of digital competence is challenging due to the constant implementation of digital innovations in healthcare. Recent research has uncovered the value of a wider perspective that includes non-technical aspects of digitalization, such as ethical issues related to digitalization, motivation and attitude concerning the use of digital technologies, coaching skills, communication, and support as well as organizational, and educational factors. Methods: data have been collected across Czechia among Czech allied health professionals using the DigiHealthCom and DigiComInf since 10/2023. Data have been gathered using both paper-based and online versions of the survey. Upon completion of the 42-item Likert-type DigiHealthCom questionnaire, participants were asked an open-ended question	digital competence; digitalization of healthcare processes; pain management
