The Faculty of Health Studies of the University of Pardubice has enrolled in one of the Fulbright Specialist Programs provided by the Fulbright Commission. The primary objective of the Program is to establish and support co-operation between U.S. and Czech education institutions and contribute to establishment and development of new specialties. The J. William Fulbright Commission was founded in 1991 and has been working based on an intergovernmental agreement between the Czech Republic and the U.S.

Within the mentioned Program, a guest specialist can present a paper, participate in, organize or lead educational events, help with development and enhancement of curricula and teaching materials, and contribute to the development of the host institution. In accordance with the Program focus, the Faculty of Health Studies of the University of Pardubice submitted a project called “Collaboration to support doctoral studies focusing on health”, which was approved for funding. The project implementation is guaranteed by Assoc. Prof. Petra Mandysová, MSN, PhD, who visited Georgetown University, Washington, D. C., USA and established co-operation with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kelley M. Anderson and other experts at Georgetown University School of Nursing & Health. Assoc. Prof.  Anderson works in the Department of Professional Nursing Practice and is the Fulbright Specialist who will visit FHS UPa for two weeks in April 2020. She will contribute to the PhD Nursing study program as well as to the development of collaboration in nursing research.

Assoc. Prof. Anderson will participate in and present a paper at the International Conference: Quality and Its Perspectives, organized by the FHS UPa on April 22, 2020.

The visit of Assoc. Prof. Anderson is being thoroughly planned so that co-operation can be as fruitful as possible for both institutions.
