Mgr. Alice Strnadová, MBA, Chief Nurse of the Czech Republic, Director of the Department of Healthcare Professions
Alice Strnadová is an experienced healthcare manager and a respected expert in nursing and non-medical healthcare professions. She began her professional career as a general nurse at a Prague hospital, where she gradually progressed through clinical practice and management positions. She also applied her experience in an educational role – as head of the Department of Management and Administration at the Institute of Law and Legal Science and as an assistant professor at the First Faculty of Medicine at Charles University.
Since 2015, she has been working at the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic as Director of the Department of Healthcare Professions and also serves as Chief Nurse of the Czech Republic. She has long been involved in the development of nursing, education, and strengthening the professional competencies and personnel capacities of non-medical professions. She actively participates in professional discussions, conferences, and working groups and supports nurses' professional recognition, including through professional awards for their work. Her goal is for nursing to have a strong voice, appropriate conditions, and social recognition in the Czech healthcare system.
