eng A RESEARCH DESIGN, VERIFICATION AND EVALUATION OF NURSING AUDIT TOOLS IN PERIOPERATIVE CARE Introduction: From health care, it is expected that will be provided at the highest quality. To achieve a high level of quality nursing perioperative care is required of its continuous monitoring, measurement and subsequent evaluation of quality indicators. Perioperative care is defined as care for a patient before, during and immediately after the end of the operation (1). The audit tool is considered a review of the status of the established processes and introduced quality management systems, which can affect the progress of perioperative care in terms of safety and health protection for patients, but also for staff of operating rooms (2). The aim of the paper is to present a research tool, the control sheet, designed for audits of nursing perioperative care. Post will describe the methodology of creation of the control sheet and the procedure how was validated. A further aim is to present the most important results obtained by external audits.Research design: The credibility and reliability of the checklist for the perioperative department was determined by a combination of several applied research methods. Design of the checklist is primarily inspired by professional literature and the valid legislation of the Czech Republic.Then the checklist was evaluated by experts, then it was implemented a pilot review of its application in the field. Reliability was verified in five nursing audits. The results of the audits reflect the level of care you provide theatre nurses for a patient during perioperative process.On nursing audits follow the expert talks, which help to get a comprehensive picture about the importance, the validity and the applicability of indi. Results: The evaluations of audits were submitted to the management of hospitals as the basis for the planned improvement of nursing practice within the operating tract. The cooperation of the faculty with hospitals will continue. The results of the audits will be quantified and then statistically validated.
