eng Complications of Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy Laparoscopic cholecystectomy is one of the most frequent procedures. We present our group of patients who underwent laparoscopic cholecystectomy between January 1999 and December 2004 at the Surgical Dpt., Pardubice. We did 3358 procedures during this period. Of this number, we had to converse 237 (7.06%) procedures to open surgery. Entirely, we noticed 8 iatrogenic injuries (0.26%). The perforation of the duodenum appeared once. We faced complete cut-off of the common bile duct in 4 cases (0.13%). In three patients we identified these injuries peroperatively and once postoperatively. In one case we noticed a partial lesion, postoperative stricture of the common bile duct and leak from the cystic duct. We solved the complete cut-off of the bile duct by using hepaticojejunoanastomosis (HJA) in two cases and with a simple suture (+ T drain) in two cases. We did not have any complications after HJA and we had one stricture after the simple suture. According to our experience, we recommend to apply the suture of the bile duct with T drain as an approach for the injury of the partial bile duct without cutting out a part of the duct. We recommend hepaticojenoanastomosis for the complete bile duct injury and the bile duct losing injury and we think that this kind of reparative procedure is better than the simple suture as the prevention of the postoperative stricture. Serious complications of laparoscopic cholecystectomy are rare at the surgical department that deals with miniinvasive surgery. Therefore, the solving of these complications is very difficult and the reparative procedures have to be performed by a surgeon with rich experience with biliary surgery. The choice of the right kind of procedure is very important for good health condition in the further life of the patient. Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy;Complications
