eng DEVELOPMENT OF COMPLEX SYSTEM OF LIFELONG LEARNING FOR MIDWIVES IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC IN CONTEXT OF KEY COMPETENCIES USING MODERN TEACHING METHODS Introduction An adequately set education system is one of the tools for improving the quality of care in midwifery and stabilizing the position of midwives in the system of care for women and families. The qualification study of midwives is governed by the applicable EU legislation, related national standards, and is based on the global standards for ICM education. Lifelong education is an obvious part of midwifery, which must be implemented by the principles EBP. In the Czech Republic, the obligation of lifelong education is only established, unfortunately without further setting of content, conditions and rules. For lifelong education, problem-based learning appears to be an adequate pedagogical approach, which is based on the use of established scenarios, which, when solving them, lead to an increase or maintenance of knowledge and optimal clinical decision-making. Objective The aim of the presentation is to present a project aimed at creating a system of compulsory lifelong education of midwives in the Czech Republic, including an evaluation of the system for monitoring the achievement and maintenance of the required key competencies.
